THE BEAUTY ROOM 『THE BEAUTY ROOM』
ＵＫのテクノ/ジャズ・シーンを代表するプロデューサーKirk Degiorgio（カーク・ディジョージオ）が2001年に発表した名作『21st Century Soul』で共演したヴォーカリストJinaduと結成したアコースティック・プロジェクトThe Beauty Room（ザ・ビューティー・ルーム）の1st。
テクノ・プロデューサーIan O'Brienがギターで参加した他、Gilles PetersonのBrownswood RecordingsからデビューしたThe Heritage Orchestraや天才アレンジャーEumir Deodatoが参加。
アコースティック・ギターのアルペジオとKirk Degiorgioのフェンダー・ローズが素敵なハーモニーを奏でるオープニングの"Soul Horizon"で始まり、1stシングルになったJan Hammerのカヴァー"Don't You Know"、Eumir Deodatoのストリングス・アレンジが美しい"Holding On"や"The Weight Of The World"等、Steely Dan的な緻密なサウンド構成とCrosby Stills and Nashを彷彿とさせる素晴らしいヴォーカル・アンサンブル、オーガニックなアコースティック・グルーヴによる全曲必聴の大傑作アルバム。
